Love and Aloha

Love and Aloha
FOR SALE

© 2012 Fannie Narte

Love and Aloha, or The Spirit of Aloha, was inspired by my daughters Ku'ulei and Ku'uipo. Ku'ulei means "Sweet Blossom" and Ku'uipo means "Sweetheart" or "My Beloved." The Spirit of Aloha is about the giving and receiving of unconditional love. This is the kind of love I know. It is the kind of love I was taught by my parents and caring family members and friends. It is the kind of love I try to practice each and every day, though oftentimes imperfectly. It is the kind of love I hope I have taught my daughters and grandchildren. It is the kind of love I hope for all to experience on a regular basis. It is the kind of love that will heal the world.

Love and Aloha. The Spirit of Aloha. Unconditional love.

I am attempting to bring attention to the importance of unconditional love and fearlessness to the world one painting at a time.

Thanks for visiting. I wish you love, hope and peace.

Songs of Courage

Songs of Courage
© 2012 Fannie Narte

THE INSPIRATION

Life can be fun when we see as a child and when we feel free to be silly. Life also has its challenges. Although we are never alone, during these times, we may feel lonely, and fear can creep in and steal the light. Sometimes we may even feel paralyzed and no matter how hard we try to overcome our challenges and fight our battles, taking that step forward is difficult. During times like these, we need songs of courage to help us.

Our faith, family and friends sing us through our storms. A listening ear, kindness, graciousness, empathy, never forceful, always encouraging, safe, nonjudgmental . . .

We move forward one gentle word at a time, we conquer our fears one candle at a time.

Yes, life does have its challenges, but we always have . . . Songs of Courage to bring back the light and banish all fears.

Life is fun when we see as a child and when we feel free to be silly.

My Mother, My Daughter 2

 My Mother, My Daughter 2
FOR SALE

This fabric panel is a version of my original mixed media painting.

THE INSPIRATION

A mother nurtures hearts and develops wings.

A daughter speaks.  A mother listens, quietly.
A daughter cries.  A mother opens her arms, willingly.
A daughter hungers.  A mother feeds, nutritiously.
A daughter explores.  A mother watches, safely.
A daughter dreams.  A mother dances.
A daughter sings.  A mother celebrates.
They dance.
They sing.
They elevate one another.
They give love.
They share love.
They are love.

Different Voices, Similar Songs

This fabric panel was produced from my original mixed media painting.

we look different from one another on the outside,
but on the inside, we yearn for the same respect,
we hope for kindness to fill the world,
we pray for the safety of our loved ones and our children,
we celebrate accomplishments,
we believe in goodness,
we dream big,
we survive life's challenges,
and we laugh at silly jokes.

we are similar in more ways than we are different.

We all long to be accepted, just as we are . . .

Shimmering Turquoise Sparkle Vinyl Clutch Handbag by VB Originals

From VB Originals:

"I hope you love this versatile clutch bag as much as I do. I love functional art; art should not just hang the walls! I can see this stunning clutch shoulder bag on a tropical vacation, at the spring prom, that special summer wedding, lunch in the city. Or maybe a present for your sister!"

All great ideas, Lori, thanks!

How about a gift for your mom?  Mother's Day is just around the corner.  A mother with two red-headed daughters would especially love this.  You don't have to have red hair to love this as these sisters symbolize anyone with any hair color.  "Sisters" is about celebrating relationships with the women in your lives.

I'm a grandma; I would love to have this.  ♥♫♥
